Owain Glyndŵr led a 15-year-long revolt with the aim of ending English rule in Wales. He was an educated lawyer who, during his rule, convened the first Welsh parliament in Machynlleth and was the last true Prince of Wales.
This is the only image of him in existence. It was discovered painted on a wall in a Powys church that had been covered for 600 years.
