Corona was a brand of carbonated soft drinks produced by Thomas & Evans Ltd in South Wales, distributed across the United Kingdom. Founded by grocers William Thomas and William Evans in Porth, Rhondda, the company grew to 87 depots and factories throughout Britain. The firm was created because Thomas and Evans saw a market for soft drinks caused by the growing influence of the temperance movement. They were right.
