Thousands of Welsh people sailed from its docks for a new life the other side of the Atlantic.
Tryweryn was drowned to supply it with water, despite the protestations of many scousers. And sport, home to one of the worlds most famous football teams, Everton and another that plays in red.... Ian Rush, Kevin Ratcliffe, Neville Southall just three who made the city their footballing home..
