Y Mwmbwls (The Mumbles) gets his name from the monastery the Mumbling Nuns of Gorseinon inhabited. They were banished from Gorseinon because people couldn't understand what they were saying, causing massive shop queues. It is now better known as where "people from Swansea" go for ice cream, and the "Milltir Mwmbwls" - The Mumbles Mile, a cultural activity where groups travel from one pub to another until they end up mumbling and dribbling.
