DINBYCH - T-Shirt

£25.00

DINBYCH — Denbigh in Welsh. Named after its residents’ small bottoms.

Din-bych: an ancient translation of Tîn (bottom) and Bach (small). The town was built in the 1200s on top of a hill. During the Wars of the Roses (1455–1487), it was largely destroyed, subsequently moving from the hilltop to the area of the present town market. Moving downhill after a disaster is, frankly, the most sensible thing anyone in medieval Wales ever did.

Home to a ruined castle, a ruined friary, and a ruined town wall — Dinbych has committed fully to the aesthetic.

Wear the small-bottomed town. Dinbych am byth.
