Fy Iaith, Fy Ngwlad, Fy Nghenedl - T-Shirt

At the 73-metre level of the Washington Monument — once the tallest structure in the world — there is a stone inscribed in Cymraeg. It reads:

'Fy iaith, fy ngwlad, fy nghenedl Cymru – Cymru am byth.'
My language, my land, my nation of Wales – Wales for ever.

That stone was quarried near Abertawe (Swansea) and donated by Welsh people living in New York. The idea came from Daniel Jones, who helped found the St David Society in the United States in the 19th century — an organisation that supported the thousands of Welsh families who emigrated to America and carried Wales with them wherever they went.
