Y Wyddor Gymraeg - Welsh Alphabet Matte Poster (Unframed)
Y Wyddor Gymraeg, but make it Welsh Bollocks. Give your wall a vintage classroom feel with our take on the Welsh alphabet chart, complete with a few entries the teacher might have skipped. Look out for Afanc (“the beaver”), Rhech (“fart”), and Wancar, our homage to the Farage.
Entertain your friends, educate your neighbour from Stoke and upset your mam. Hang it where visitors can get close enough to read the details.
The inspiration is the famous Y Wyddor chart, printed around 1900 by EDC in Cardiff. Its alphabet was based on the work of T. C. Evans (Cadrawd) of Llangynwyd, with illustrations by his son Christopher Evans. A nod to Welsh-language history, with just enough mischief to earn a second look. Designed in Wales, printed in the UK.
