England needed a win to complete the Grand Slam. Wales needed a miracle.

With three minutes left on the clock, England led by 6 points. It looked done. It looked over. It looked very, very English.

Then Scott Quinnell found Scott Gibbs 20 metres from the try line.

What happened next has been replayed approximately 47 million times by Welsh rugby fans, and will continue to be replayed until the end of time. Gibbs took the ball, broke through England's defensive line like it wasn't there, ran around one defender, side-stepped another, and touched down for one of the most celebrated tries in Welsh rugby history.

Neil Jenkins converted. Wales won 32–31. England's Grand Slam was gone.

The nation went absolutely, magnificently, beautifully mental.
